Country Radio Stations
49Country Radio Stations: Country Music is Everywhere, you Just Have to Know Where to Look!
It doesn’t matter these days where you live, country music is becoming so popular that nearly anywhere you go, even in those US states that you thought there would be no chance to find country radio stations, you can find them.
Finding country music on the radio has always been a challenge in some states, and cities, especially the more urban east and west coast cities, but that’s changing now. In fact it really doesn’t even have to depend on conventional radio anymore either. There are plenty of alternatives these days when it comes to radio.
If you’re a lover of country music in an area that simply does not have a country radio station then you need to look no further than to satellite radio. Satellite radio is the perfect place to get your country music, since they don’t have commercials, nor do they have annoying DJ’s usually, just a lot of music. You can find many different era’s of country music, including what’s popular right now. The two major satellite radio stations are XM and Sirius.
Now there is a small fee to satellite radio, so if you don’t want to pay money monthly to hear your country music stations then you can do what tons of people all over are now doing on get your country music free, but online. Free internet radio stations are abundant these days, and it’s simple to find a country radio station that way. In fact, you can often get a streaming broadcast of radio stations from other cities around the world that play country music. It’s an endless supply of boot scoot boogie country radio stations online.
Those two ways are easy ways to find country music no matter where you are. I would like to tackle the misconception though that country music stations aren’t in the more “non country” areas though.
For instance, in New York City, FM 107.1 is the country music station there. That’s probably a surprise to a lot of people right there. There are country radio stations through all of New York in fact, with 106.5 FM as the station in Buffalo New York, which is a good one playing both old and new country.
Even further up on the East Coast, you hit Boston Massachusetts, and there you can find the country music station there at 99.5FM, on WKLB. Would you ever expect to find a country radio station in Boston?
On the opposite coast, in surfer town San Diego, right above good old Tijuana you can listen to country music on 97.3 FM. Surfers all over San Diego are secretly listening to that station I’m sure. C’mon, anybody who says they don’t like country music is simply lying to you.
